Autumn is a season of change. Leaves shift, light softens, and the world pulls inward. Yet creativity stretches outward, reaching for new beginnings. It is in this liminal space — between endings and beginnings — that some of the most fertile writing lives. As the new season approaches, I am delighted to share my Autumn 2025 Term creative nonfiction courses, running from September through December, a time made for writing, reflecting, and seeing the natural world anew.

I design each term with learners of all levels in mind: those stepping into narrative nonfiction for the first time, those deepening their craft, and those ready for more ambitious projects. At the heart of my teaching is generosity, curiosity, and the belief that writing flourishes in community. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of guiding writers from tentative first drafts to polished essays and books. Narrative Nature Writing: Level 1
Sept 21 – Dec 14 | £650
If you feel called to explore place, memory, and ecology, this creative nonfiction course is your starting point. Together we’ll work with the fundamentals of narrative nonfiction—observation, voice, setting, and structure—through lectures, readings, prompts, and feedback. Memoir Writing: A Beginner’s Guide to Personal Narrative
